Schools unite for peaceful education

The Maharishi School in Lancashire is one of the first to have joined “The Peaceful Schools Movement” in the UK.

The school sits well with the stated aims of the movement, offering peaceful and harmonious atmosphere for its students. Creativity and intelligence are systematically developed with a few minutes of Transcendental Meditation at the beginning and end of every school day. British educational authorities have reported that the Maharishi school provides an outstanding quality of education for all pupils.

The network of peaceful schools is the most recent initiative of Spiritual England, a social enterprise created in 2007. It brings together spirituality within all faiths and spirituality which is not faith related. Its goal is to spread good practice and promote activities which support spiritual growth for everyone.
