He also credits meditation for enriching his relationship with this beautiful wife of 17 years, Deborra-Lee Jackman.The David Lynch Foundation celebrated its fifth annual “Change Begins Within” gala in honor of veterans and first responders on Tuesday, December 3, in New York City.

The evening was co-hosted by David Lynch and Jerry Seinfeld and featured inspiring videos and testimony from servicemen and women, whose lives had been transformed through practice of the Transcendental Meditation technique.
For the benefit of veterans and first responders
All proceeds from the completely sold-out event will go towards teaching Transcendental Meditation to thousands of NYC veterans and first responders in need. The goal of this latest David Lynch Foundation initiative is to bring TM to 1,000 first responders in New York City and to 10,000 first responders nationwide.
Commissioner Salvatore CassanoDuring the gala, Commissioner Salvatore Cassano from the New York City Fire Department received an award for a lifetime of service.
Commissioner Cassano practices Transcendental Meditation and supports using it as a stress management tool for first responders and firefighters who deal with crisis and trauma, “going from 0-100 every single day.”
